The Great Grey Wizard

We've been eating boring quick meals the past two days, take out Chinese and Caesar wraps again, nothing too interesting to report, so I thought I'd post a pic of the only cat not yet represented, Linus, the drag king kitty himself. Linus is a grey Maine Coon that we got from a shelter in Minneapolis. He's been with us for 4 years, almost, and is known as the cat ambassador. If someone thinks that they don't like cats all they need is one afternoon with Grey and they'll be singing a different tune.

On that note, I'll leave you with a pic of another creation from my upcoming vegan baking book: brownie cheesecake muffins. Mmm... warmed with a spoonful of Tofutti ice cream on top.... drool....

Also, long overdue, I just updated the recipes section with recipes for the chocolate pudding and shepherd's pie! Yay!

YUM. Can I pre-order your book now? I can already tell that I am going to need it. :) Once you move up here, let me know if you need anything taste tested. ;)

Linus can be a bit evil (he has a fetish for the nibs on shoe laces), but he's mostly a cuddle bug. He likes to forcibly make you stop to love him, usually by throwing himself on the floor, yelling repeatedly (which my husband calls "barfing meows") and jumping at you. We refer to these attention-getting mechanisms as "Grey Delays". He's such a silly man.

And Mindy, I will for sure let you know if I need some help eating food. You'll have to frequent the Herbivore store so you can eat my treats, I'm sure I'll be helping Josh and Michelle fill out their pants a bit more.

The deadline I have for the book is by Thanksgiving. Seems like a long time now, but from the writing end of it, 6 months is really soon! Eeek!

WOW!!! Those muffins look incredible! Do you have any idea when your cookbook might be coming out?

Also, I was wondering if you write for Herbivore. I love that mag! Keep up the great work, and good luck with your move. :)

Hi Rachel! I haven't written for Herbivore as of yet, but I do have a couple of article ideas that I'm working on. I am going to be working at the Herbivore store that will be opening in Portland soon. Woot! I'm very excited!
